Kathy Johnson, Ph.D.

Dr. Johnson is interested in very early cognitive and language development in infants and young children, and has recently been studying how toddlers who have been internationally adopted learn English as a "second first language." She also studies the origins and consequences of sustained interests and expertise in young children - particularly expertise in domains related to science and the implication so such expertise for later science achievement motivation.
